Who Will Be Speaking at Situational Awareness & Combat ID 2011?

Cutting Through the Fog of War to Reduce Fratricide in Current & Future Operations

Now in its 3rd year, Defence IQ’s Situational Awareness & Combat ID forum will give Combat ID, ISTAR and C2 stakeholders in the armed forces, defence industry, and academia an exclusive opportunity to discuss the latest efforts, strategies, technology developments, capability requirements and procurement projects to ensure this lifesaving capability.

This event is an essential opportunity to assess the issues vital to coalition combat ID and situational awareness stakeholders:

  • How is the US Air Force utilising Friendly Force Tracking systems in its current operations and a look ahead to its force moderinsation efforts to decrease fratricide
  • Feedback on preparations for Bold Quest 11 from the US Joint Forces Command – learn the aims and scope of this year’s crucial meeting and the new ‘non-material’ factors to be included
  • Providing low cost, interoperable ground platform level CID capability for the US Army & Marine Corp
  • Successfully bridging the air – land CID integration gap for all important close air support operations in Afghanistan and other theatres

Regarded as the leading European event in this field, Situational Awareness & Combat ID 2011 will explore in detail how the related technologies, strategies and evolving TTPs are helping to reduce fratricide and civilian casualties whilst enhancing the common operating picture for the commander on the ground and in the air.

Key Areas of Discussion at Situational Awareness & Combat ID 2011 Will Include:
